North Macedonia Hiking Adventure. Explore three breathtaking national parks, high peaks, alpine lakes, and historic villages in one unforgettable hiking adventure. This round 8-day journey takes you through Mavrovo, Galichica, and Pelister National Parks, showcasing the wild beauty of North Macedonia. Hike along the borders with Albania and Greece, and enjoy panoramic views over untouched mountain landscapes. Along the way, you’ll discover traditional villages, welcoming towns, and authentic Macedonian hospitality—a perfect mix of outdoor exploration and cultural immersion.
Day 1: Arrival in Skopje – Transfer to Galicnik Mavrovo NP
Meet your guide at Skopje Airport. Transfer (1.5h) to Galicnik, a mountain village in Mavrovo National Park. Overnight in a mountain guesthouse.
Day 2: Medenica Peak 2,163m.
We start with hiking from the hotel in the village of Galicnik at 1560m. The duration of the Hike: 10km / 4–5 hrs / +603m. Medenica Summit is the highest peak of Bistra Mountain. Visit St.John the Baptist Monastery. Evening transfer and accommodation in Ohrid City.
Day 3: Jablanica Mountain, 2,257m.
Transfer to Gorna Belica village (1,450m). Hike: 12km / 5–6 hrs / +837m. Today’s hike on the border with Macedonia and Albania, to the peak Crn kamen or (Black Stone), is 2257 meters. Finish the hike by the lake. Return to the Hotel in Ohrid for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Rest Day in Ohrid
Free day in UNESCO Ohrid. Optional guided city tour or activities: Kayaking / SUP / Sailing on Lake Ohrid. Cultural exploration and lakeside lunch.
Day 5: Galicica National Park
Check out of the Hotel. Transfer to the trailhead (1,600m). Hike to Magaro peak 2255m: 8.5km / 4–5 hrs / +700m. Panoramic views over Ohrid & Prespa Lakes. Evening transfer and accommodation in Bitola city. non proident, sunt in culpa qui officia deserunt mollit anim id est laborum.
Day 6: Mountain Lake| Pelister National Park
The hike starts from Nize Pole village. Hike: 12km / 6–7 hrs / +1,048m.Picnic by the lake, scenic pasture trails. Return to Bitola for the overnight.
Day 7: Maloviste Village Pelister National Park
Hike: 10km / 5 hrs / +870 m.Visit Maloviste village, hike to the Holy Salvation small church, and peak Vrtska 2010m. Views of Pelister, Prespa Lake, and mountains in Greece & Albania. Transfer to Skopje (2.5 hrs), final overnight.
Day 8: Departure
Transfer to Skopje Airport based on your flight schedule—end of the tour.
