Overview
Ski touring adventure across one of the best mountain ranges Shar Mountain, Korab, Galicica, and Pelister. Each day promises fresh tracks on untouched terrain, with thrilling descents of up to 1,200 meters.
Experience a variety of snow conditions, from wide alpine bowls to exciting forest runs, guided by our certified English-speaking local ski guides.
Beyond the slopes, discover the cultural treasures of Skopje, Ohrid (UNESCO World Heritage), and Bitola, while savoring authentic Macedonian cuisine and wine throughout your journey.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Macedonia
Meet your guide at Skopje Airport. Time permitting, explore the capital before transferring to Popova Shapka ski resort for the first two nights.
Day 2 & Day 3: Popova Shapka / Shar Mountain
Ski touring from Popova Shapka 1700m, aiming for Kazani peak 2567m. or Blue Peak 2550m. 5–6 hours of day touring, 700–1000m. ascent. On Day 3, after completing the tour, we have a 1-hour transfer to Mavrovo National Park, followed by accommodation at the Hotel.
Day 4: Korab Mountain
Early breakfast, and with a 4×4 vehicle, transfer to the 1,450 m start point. Tour toward peak Kepi Bard near Mount Korab. Ascent: 1,300 m / Descent: 1,300 m. After skiing, 2h.transfer to UNESCO Ohrid for an overnight.
Day 5: Rest Day in Ohrid
Guided city tour UNESCO city of Ohrid, visit the monastery St.Naum. Optional activities: Kayaking / SUP / Sailing on Lake Ohrid.
Day 6: Galicica National Park / Magaro Peak 2.255 m.
We have 40min. Transfer to the 1,650 m trailhead. Scenic tour overlooking Ohrid and Prespa Lakes. Ascent/descent: ~700 m (+ optional 300 m loop). After skiing for 1.15 minutes. drive and overnight in Bitola.
Day 7: Pelister National Park Pelister Peak 2.601 m.
Start at 1,360 m and ascend to the summit. Various descent options based on snow conditions. Ascent/descent: 1,240 m. Transfer to Skopje for the final night.
Day 8: Departure from Skopje
Transfer to Skopje Airport based on your flight schedule—end of the tour.
